Obituary of Hazel Gaines

Hazel Iris Bennett Gaines On Monday September 13, 2010, Hazel Iris Bennett Gaines went to be with her Lord and Savoir. God set her free, granting her release from all her pain and now she can walk, wrapped in heavens arms within the gate. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Hazel was born in Guilford County on May 6, 1924. She was one of eleven children of John and Myrtle Bennett. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters; Terri Cox, Toni Brown and her husband Bill, a son M. Timothy Gaines (Tim) , brother William H. Bennett; grandchildren ; Heather Davsko, Brian Cox, Erin Rumley, Jason Cox and Lee Brown; seven great grandchildren and her special devoted friend of 64 years Lucy Fields. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. The family would like to extend special thanks to the team members of Silver Ministries at Lebanon Baptist Church for their continuous support and faithful visits. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Silver Ministries (Lebanon Baptist Church) 4635 Hicone Road, Greensboro , NC 27405 Lambeth-Troxler Funeral and Cremation Service proudly assists the Gaines family.
