Obituary of Nora Hilda Jones Allred

Nora Hilda Jones Allred, age 87, died January 13, 2018 at Brookdale on Lawndale in Greensboro, NC after a brief battle with cancer and dementia. The funeral service will be held Tuesday January 16, 2pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Allred was born on July 18, 1930 in Rockingham County to the late Robert M. and Lillie Jones. She attended Christ Wesleyan Church of Greensboro, NC and was a retiree of Western Electric, AT&T. She also worked for Christ United Methodist Church of Greensboro in the Nursery. Hilda Allred was married to deceased George Allen Allred for 50 years. She is survived by her two daughters; Retta A. Watson and husband John Howard Watson of Knoxville, TN and Terri Allred and companion Doug Bolen of Greensboro. Granddaughter, Ashley Watson of Pensacola, FL. Also surviving are two sisters; Jenny Plaster and Elsie Landreth and husband Carlton of Greensboro, three brothers; Jeff Jones and wife Joy of Reidsville. Predeceased were her brothers Robbie Jones and Sammy Jones of Reidsville. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
