Obituary of Barry Eugene Williams

Mr. Barry Eugene Williams, 68, of Whitsett, passed away on October 21, 2017 at his residence. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery with Jill Alventosa-Brown officiating. Mr.Williams was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church. He was born in Forsyth County on July 24, 1949 to James Williams and Betty Jean Hawks Williams who both preceded him in death. He graduated from Northeast Guilford High School in 1968 and Appalachian State University in 1972 with a B.S. Degree in Education. Mr. Williams was a teacher and coach at Northeast Guilford from 1972-1980. Following his career in teaching he held multiple sales representative positions from 1980-2013. He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Williams, LCDR USN (Ret.) and daughter-in-law Heather Williams, grandchildren, Kathryn Williams, and Jacob Williams; a daughter Jessica Williams King, grandchildren, Jonas King, Jaxon King and Jayce King; his sisters Linda Stout, Debbie Smith, step sisters Tina Davis and Teresa Hodges, two half sisters Diane Clapp and Sandy Williams, brothers Michael Williams, Herman Davis; step brother, and Allen Williams: half brother plus numerous nieces and nephews. Barry's son and daughter would like to give a special recognition to Al Sykes for all his help during Barry's illness.
