Obituary of Nancy Jarvis Oakley

On Sunday, September 10, 2017, Heaven gained a beautiful "Angel" when our beloved Nancy Jarvis Oakley passed on to be with the Lord Jesus. She was born on March 12, 1940 in Wilkes County, NC. Surviving are: two children, Kim Thore (husband David) of Summerfield, NC and Allen Oakley (wife Pam) of Elon, NC; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her sister, Vergie "Bounce" Nichols (husband Alvin) of North Wilkesboro, NC. She was proceeded in death by: her parents, John W. Jarvis and Eva Lunsford Jarvis; five brothers; her husband, Jimmy Oakley and her son James "Butch" Oakley. She was retired from White Oak Cone Mills and a member of Lake Brandt Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice and Pallative Care of Greensboro for their exceptional care. Funeral Service and Visitation will be at Lambert-Troxler Funeral Home, 300 W. Wendover Ave., Greensboro NC. Visitation on Tuesday, September 12th from 6-8pm and the service on Wednesday the 13th at 2 pm at the same location.
