Obituary of Gertrude Clark Nance

Mrs. Gertrude Clark Nance, 95 of Burlington, NC passed away early Tuesday July 18, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital after several years of failing health. There will be a crypt side service at Lakeview Memorial Park Thursday July 20th at 2 pm. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12 pm until 1:30 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Gertrude was born to the late John Lee and Olive Stone Clark in Roanoke, VA on January 26, 1922. She resided in Greensboro for many years until moving to Burlington, NC. Gertrude worked for years at Lorillard where she was an inspector, and she enjoyed camping and traveling with her late husband Charlie. Surviving are her son C. Davis Nance, Jr.(Cindy) of Burlington, NC, brothers; Carl Clark, Ronnie Clark, Jackie Clark, sisters Audrey Shelar and Shirley Young, grandchildren Regina Smith(Marty), Bobby Cunningham(Laurie), Cheryl Nance(Autumn), Randy Nance, Mark Cunningham, Amber Hall(Daniel) and eleven great grandchildren. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband Charlie Daviis Nance, Sr., infant son Carl Randall Nance and her daughter Janice Nance Cunningham.
