Obituary of Brooks Lanier Webster

Brooks "Pinto" Lanier Webster, 85, of Browns Summit, died Friday, June 9, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Loftis and David Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens. He was born in Guilford County on February 29, 1932 to Robert and Macie Neal Webster. He served in the US Air Force during 1950-1954 during the Korean War and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was a member of Lake Townsend Baptist Church and served as a deacon and treasurer. He worked at J.P. Stevens as a mechanic, truck driver and retired from Ryder as a supervisor over mechanics. He was a 47 year member of the Transportation Maintenance Council where he served as treasurer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Betty Shular Webster of the home; daughter, Sharon Webster Botts and husband Stan of Browns Summit; grandson, Lanier Bryant Botts.
