Obituary of Rev. Terry Wayne Moody

Rev. Terry Wayne Moody, 54, went home to be with Jesus on Friday July 20, 2018.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be 2:00PM Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Church Street Baptist Church, 3113 North Church Street, Greensboro, NC 27405.  Burial will immediately follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Terry was born November 30, 1963 in Greensboro, NC to Nancy Moody and the late Jerry Wayne Moody. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1982. He accepted the Lord as his Savior when he was 25 and later attended the Greensboro Bible Institute. Terry enjoyed a long career with US Food Service.  He was also a Pastor of two churches in the Triad.

Terry enjoyed doing anything with his family, hunting, and attending dirt track races.  His greatest passion was spreading the gospel and seeing others come to know Jesus Christ.  His favorite verse is: John 6:37 “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Kerri Benton and husband Will, and Taylor Moody; sons, Rev. Jared Moody, and Blake Moody; mother, Nancy Moody; granddaughters, Marlee Benton and Leah Benton; sisters, Sharon Dalto and husband Jeff, and Trisha Hopkins and husband Wally; many nieces and nephews whom he loved.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Monday July 23, 2018 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, 300 West Wendover Ave. Greensboro, NC.  The family will also receive friends at other times at the home of Terry Moody.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the following charities that were close to Terry’s heart: The Autism Foundation (in honor of his son, Blake Moody), The American Cancer Foundation, Beacon Place Hospice Home, or Ronald McDonald House.
