Obituary of Bobby Wayne Nance, Sr.

Bobby Wayne Nance, Sr., 67, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, as he was surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be 11:00AM Saturday August 11, 2018 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Michael Long.  Burial will immediately follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bobby was born July 30, 1951 in Guilford County to Doris Danridge Harris and the late Donald Howard Nance, Sr.  In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his son, Bobby Wayne Nance, Jr.

Bobby enjoyed a long career in the Heating & Air Conditioning business, becoming District Manager for Mechworks, Inc.  In his spare time, he loved restoring classic and Mopar cars.  He and Paula enjoyed attending cruise-ins and car shows.  They treasured all of the many friends that they met at these events.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Paula Cobb Nance; daughter, Tracy Nance Raper and husband Mike; grandchild, Paige Raper Hawkins and husband Aaron and a soon to be great-grandson; mother, Doris Harris; brother, Donald Howard Nance, Jr. and wife Ruth and sister, Carolyn Mitchell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, August 10, 2018 at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice of Greensboro for the compassionate care that they gave Bobby.
