Obituary of Janice Ellis Coleman

Janice Ellis Coleman, 78, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Wesley Long Hospital.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 4:00PM Friday, August 17, 2018 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Graveside Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Wilson, NC.

Janice was born March 28, 1940 to the late Revera Scott and Jimmy Ellis.  Janice was an accomplished athlete, participating in basketball during her high school years.  Her husband, Bobby, first saw her when she was playing for Rock Ridge High School in Wilson, NC.  He knew she was the one for him immediately.  They were married in 1960 and enjoyed a long life together.  From this marriage, a son, Jimmy was born in 1962.

In addition to her husband Bobby Coleman and son Jimmy Coleman, special friends, Patti and John Inman survive.

The family will receive friends following the service on Friday at the funeral home.
