Obituary of Judith McCranie Walker

Judith McCranie Walker, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, September 10, 2018.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Judy was born September 10, 1938 to the late Mattie Wright and David Malcom McCranie in Greensboro, NC. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of thirty years, Alfred Walker; sister, Vivian McCranie; brothers, Bobby McCranie and William McCranie.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Alfred Lee “Tater” Walker and Angela Ensley; brother, Lawrence McCranie and a niece, Lorraine Condon and husband Kevin.

Judy graduated from Greensboro High School.  She enjoyed a long career with Bell South, retiring after 38 years of service. She loved her church and was an active member of Rankin Baptist Church.  Judy was a member of the “Red Hat Society”, enjoying many times filled with good food and laughter with her close friends. She was an avid Duke Blue Devils fan and loved watching them play basketball on TV.  Her passion in life was taking care of her family.  She was a loving and caring wife and mother.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Mark Perini and Dr. Jyothi Nat Mann for their exceptional care given to Judy.
