Obituary of Tony Eugene Ledford

Tony Eugene Ledford, 61, has gone to be with the Lord at the Davidson County Hospice, losing his short battle with lung cancer, on Thursday, October 4^th, 2018 at 9:23 in the evening, surrounded by his family.

 Tony was born, April 13^th, 1957 at Moses Cone Hospital to Oather Ledford and Ruby Mae Swink Ledford of Summerfield, NC. He is survived by, Oather Ledford, 91, of Summerfield, NC; sister, Ruby Mae Hendrick; brother, Ray Ledford; brother, Wayne Ledford; his daughters, Ashley Ledford Knowles and Amanda Ledford Cochran; grandchildren, Kaylee Grace, Bennett Scott, and Rylee Ann. He is predeceased by Ruby Mae Ledford and Everett Ledford.

Tony was a Master Electrician servicing the Greater Greensboro area for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter and salt water angler, who’s favorite place in the world to be was on the water. He lived his life everyday for his grandchildren. His childhood best friend was Tony Atkins of Oak Ridge, NC. He had a natural ability to put others needs before his own, dropping what was needed to help others. He was much respected and loved by all survivors and friends.

Family, friends, and all others are invited to NORTHWEST BAPTIST CHURCH, 3605 Edgefield Rd. Summerfield, NC at 2:00 in the afternoon for the viewing, to grieve and reminisce. Following a service in the church, he will be buried at FOREST LAWN, 3110 Forest Lawn Dr., Greensboro, NC.
