Obituary of Mildred Alice Murchison

Mildred Alice Murchison passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was born May 23, 1929. She was a native of Greensboro and the last survivor of six children born to Edward Matthew and Sudie Callicutt Murchison.

Mildred was a graduate of Bessemer High School and spent most of her adult life working for Southern Life Insurance Company. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Eller Memorial Baptist Church until health and mobility issues prevented her attendance. She was a resident of Blumenthal Nursing and Rehab Center since 2012.

Mildred was predeceased by her parents and all her siblings; sisters, Ruth M. Gardner, Edna M. Jones, Blanch M. Gardner, and brothers Coy Edward Murchison and Jimmy W. Murchison. She is survived by sister-in-law, Jane L. Murchison, brother-in-law, Howard C. Jones; numerous nephews and their families whom she loved and enjoyed.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00pm, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Lakeview Memorial Park.

The family appreciates the care of the staff at Guilford Medical and Blumenthal Nursing and Rehab Center, and especially the visits, prayers and concerns of her caring church family.
