Obituary of Violet Gloria Worster

Violet Gloria Worster passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019. She was born February 16, 1926 in Queens, NY to Gustave and Clara Erickson. She was married to her childhood sweetheart Bill in 1944. In the Fifties they were one of the first families to move into Levittown on Long Island. There she worked for Helena Rubenstein and Doubleday Books. In 1963 she, Bill, and their son Richard, moved to Durham, NC, where she ultimately worked in various capacities for Duke Medical Center, finally retiring from Duke Family Medicine where she was supervisor of medical records. Above all, Violet was a loving wife and mother. A kind, sweet person who will be missed, but who is now at home with her Lord Jesus and her beloved Bill, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Richard, daughter-in-law Romaine, godchild Susan Borchers, and many surrogate nieces and nephews. Services not yet announced.
