Obituary of Frances Robertson Alley

Frances Robertson Alley, 87, went home to be with the Lord, May 14, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be 1:00PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Sharpe Road Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Cook and Rev. John Malek officiating.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends from 6:30PM to 8:00PM Thursday evening at the church.

Frances was born May 23, 1931 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Irene Martin Robertson and Chester Robertson.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Leroy Stuart Alley and a brother, Bernard Robertson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Alley and wife Denise; grandchildren, Christina Stanley and husband Patrick, Kevin Alley and wife Brandy; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Cheyenne, Nathon, Jakob, Tucker, Silas, and Waylon; sister, Betty Huntley and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Her pride and joy was taking care of her home, flower garden and family.  She loved to cook and, in her early years, she enjoyed traveling with her family.
