Dear Nancy,
You and Clayton were my second set of parents growing up. I have SO many wonderful memories that I shall always cherish. I have always felt a part of your family and will always love you. My love and sympathy are with you. Hope to see you again soon.
It was certainly a pleasure to have served as a teacher under Clayton Gardner at Irving Park School. He was such a great educator and also a kind and wonderful leader. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
Sincerely.
Julia Williams Banks
Clayton Gardner was the principal at Lindley Elementary School the six years I was a student there in the early 1960s. He was an excellent educator and everyone always thought well of him. Blessings to the family of this wonderful man. Gertrude Beal
Nancy and all,I was so sorry to hear of Clayton's death.Sharon keeps me up on the family members still around. You all will be in my prayers in these days.May God bless you all and give you strength for the days ahead.
I’ve been online with a group of past classmates (68-year-olds) planning our 50th Grimsley high school reunion. As we were reminiscing about Lindley Elementary school, Mr. Gardner’s name came up. When we researched him, we found that he had passed recently. We want the family to know how fondly he was remembered by so many. His influence goes back decades.
Uncle Clayton, I will always love and cherish you! You were a wonderful example for our family! Thank you for always keeping an eye out for me, for the wonderful conversations we had those times we talked on the phone! Rest In Peace now, with Jesus and family gone before you! We will miss you so much, but we will be with you again!!! Aunt Nancy, Marty, Tina and family, May the Lord be with you all and comfort your heart as no one else can! All my love, Sharon
