Obituary of James Dye McMillan

James “Jim” Dye McMillan, 89, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2019.

Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be 11:00AM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Salisbury National Cemetery officiated by Brother Kelly Tucker.

Jim was born January 8, 1930 to the late Florence Gilson McMillan and Silas Vilo McMillan.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Shelly and a brother, Stanley McMillan.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patsy Roark McMillan; daughters, Janet Reynolds, Dawn Furler, Debbie Walk and Trish Lopez; sons, Tommy McMillan, Keith McMillan, and Patrick McMillan; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Following high school graduation, Jim enlisted in the US Navy and served his country honorably. He served during the Korean War.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
