Obituary of David Hines Bailey

David was born March 26, 1943 in Abingdon, Virginia to Georgia and Robert Bailey. After their deaths, he went to live with his sister, Helen. Upon her death, he began living in an assisted living residence before residing at Carolina Pines.

He loved to walk the halls before his health declined and he needed wheelchair assistance. He loved his stuffed animals and watching cartoons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Eddie Bailey, Carl Bailey, James Bailey, Garnett Bailey, and Lewis Bailey; and two sisters, Helen Bailey and Dorothy Bailey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Vernie Bailey; sister, Myrtle Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside celebration of his life will be Monday September, 23, 2019, 11:00 am, at Westminster Gardens. The family will visit from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
