Obituary of Teddy Ray Bottoms

With great sadness, we announce that Teddy Ray Bottoms, age 45, our most beloved brother, uncle, nephew, family member and friend passed on Tuesday April 7, 2020 from complications resulting from a car accident 22 years ago.

The family will have a private service to celebrate Teddy’s life Monday April 13, 2020 at Belews Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Those who knew Teddy Ray, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.  His strength, humor and quick wit will forever be missed.

Teddy will be missed everyday by sister, Melissa Shore (Ryan); his brothers, Leroy and Stanley Bottoms; his nieces, Kaitlyn “pretty girl” Brown and Destiny Bottoms; his nephews, Kasey Brown, Blake Brown, Jeremy Bottoms, and Cody Bottoms; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great friends and caregivers that helped take care of Teddy Ray over the years.

The family finds great comfort in knowing that Teddy Ray is now reunited in Heaven with his mother, Diane Warden Bottoms and his grandmother, Esther “Dook” Warden.

Teddy Ray had a very special bond with his grandmother, “Dook.”  Dook dedicated many years to taking wonderful care of him. No better care could have been received anywhere else.  Teddy Ray also has a special bond with his sister, Melissa (Missy) Shore. She will forever miss their conversations, laughter and is so very thankful for every moment spent with him.  Teddy Ray also has two uncles, Jerry and Troy Warden who stepped up to help fulfill the father figure role.  We are thankful for all of the family, friends and caregivers that helped care for him over the years.
