Obituary of Walter Morrow Newlin

Walter Morrow Newlin, 74, of Mebane, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday May 2, 2020. 

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held Tuesday May 5, 2020 at Baptist Temple of Alamance with Dr. Donald R. Carter, Rev. Floyd Repass, and Pastor David Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mebane, NC. 

A native of Mebane, NC, Walter was the husband of Joan Holder Newlin and the son of the late Marvin Morrow Newlin and Irene Andrews Newlin. Walter was a true man of God who loved his family and friends dearly. He was a Dairy Farmer for many years. Walter worked about 10 years at B I Transportation before returning back to farming with his brother on the family farm.

Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home; daughter, Michelle Greeson and husband, Ray of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Ethan Greeson, Isaac Greeson, and Rachel Greeson; sister, Dr. Margie Newlin-Dickens and husband, Phil of Maine; brothers, Wilbur Newlin of Mebane, NC, Ray Newlin and wife, Liz of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Dr. Boyd Newlin and wife, Frankie of Boone, NC; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Jean Newlin.
