Obituary of Claude Smith

Claude Smith, 72, of Greensboro, passed away Saturday July 18,2020 at Moses Cone Hospital following a period of declining health.

Claude was born on February 29,1948, in Whiteville North Carolina to the late Shelton Smith  & Bessie Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Moses Smith; son, Michael Ray Smith, brother, Dewy Smith and sister Doris Sparkman.

He is survived by son, Charles Bolick (Sybil) of Greensboro, brother William “Bill” Smith of Climax, Sisters; Hilda Batten of Clarkton, NC, and Bessie Little (Sonnyboy) of Clarkton, NC, his 2 grandsons: Jeremie Bolick and Joshua Bolick both of Greensboro, NC and his only great grandchild Michael Adam Bolick of Greensboro, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

He served in the Army from 1966-1972. He retired from AC Corp. after years of service.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.

Our father, pawpaw and friend will be missed.
