Obituary of Charles Dean Tompkins

Charles Dean Tompkins, 63, went home to be with the Lord August 7, 2020.

A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00AM Monday August 10, 2020 at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating.

A native of Stokes County, Charles was the son of the late Shelby Jean Wilson and Wesley Charles Tompkins. He had attended Walkertown High School and was currently disabled.

Survivors include his daughter, Gail Tompkins of Walnut Cove; son, Brad Tompkins and Brandy of Walkertown; granddaughters, Nova, Gabbie, Courtney, and Mackenzie; sisters, Pat Callahan and Ricky of Winston-Salem, Lois Brooks and Kenneth of Walkertown, Sonja Bledsoe and Scottie of Winston-Salem, and Vivian Wooten and Tommy of Walkertown; brothers, Ricky Tompkins and Jennifer of Germanton, and Allen Tompkins of Walkertown; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends including his special friend, Shirley Pope of Kernersville.

A special thank you goes out to Jennifer Tompkins for her love, compassion and caregiving for Charles during his difficult times.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are asked to be made to Kerwin Baptist Church, 4520 Old Hollow Road, Kernersville, NC  27284
