Obituary of Barry F. Pileggi

Barry F. Pileggi, 67, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday October 6, 2020.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Friday October 9, 2020 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kernersville, NC with Father Noah Carter officiating. The family will greet friends at 4:30 PM Thursday October 8, 2020 followed by a Prayer of the Rosary at 5:00PM in the Rosary Garden of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Please be vigilant in maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks during all indoor services. Inurnment will be held 2:00PM Saturday October 10 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church Columbarium.

A native of Ambler, PA, Barry was the husband of Maureen McGowan Pileggi and the son of Anthony and Arlene Pileggi. Barry was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen of the home; parents, Anthony and Arlene Pileggi; three sisters, Kathleen Molyneaux and husband, Dennis, Terri O’Brien, and Marybeth Hopson and husband, Rob; brother, Jimmy Pileggi and wife, Patty; Mother-in-law, Frances McGowan; sister-in-law, Fran Petticord and husband, Larston; three brothers-in-law, Marty McGowan and wife, Lynn, Mike McGowan and Lynn Kosman, and Joe McGowan and wife, Jennifer; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Pileggi; and his father-in-law, Walter “Mac” McGowan.
