Judy Breazeale

Obituary of Judy Faye Weatherford Breazeale

Judy Faye Weatherford Breazeale, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great‐grandmother has departed this earth. She left her earthly body on May 7th, 2021 to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Judy was a loving woman who would do anything for you. Her sweet soul will be so missed by all of us who loved her.  Judy was born in Darlington, SC on June 28, 1945. She lived in Darlington until the summer before she entered ninth grade when she moved to nearby Hartsville, SC. Judy graduated from Hartsville High School in 1963 and attended Winthrop College for one semester before leaving to marry her husband of 57 years, Larry Franklin Breazeale, Sr. The newlyweds lived in Norfolk, VA for the first two years. When Larry was honorably discharged from the Navy, they moved to Greensboro, NC, which was the hometown of her new husband. Judy had her first child, Larry Franklin Breazeale Jr. in 1966 and her second child followed in 1971, Shannon Dawn Breazeale Lindsay. Judy was a homemaker for many years before entering the work force in 1978. The bulk of her career was spent at the Credit Bureau of Greensboro, currently known as First Point.  Larry and Judy enjoyed camping over the years and spent a lot of their time at Briarcliffe campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. Judy dearly loved her church family at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, NC.

Judy is survived by her husband and children as well as 5 grandchildren, Joshua Brock Breazeale, Ashley Nicole Breazeale Anderson, Jacob Daniel Lindsay, Mason Gabriel Lindsay, and Caleb Wyatt Lindsay. Also surviving is her son-in-law, Mark Frank Lindsay. She was the proud great-grandmother of Ellie Elizabeth Anderson, Ryker James Anderson, and Wyatt Knox Anderson. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Lonnie John Weatherford and Amy Voncile Stokes Weatherford of Hartsville, SC, her older brother, Lonnie John Weatherford, Jr, and her younger sister, Betty Sue Weatherford Hoffman, who died two days before her on May 5th, 2021. Judy is also predeceased by her great-grandson, Waylon Beckett Anderson. Judy will leave a hole in the hearts of her family and friends, but we all know that we will be reunited with her again one day in Heaven.
