Obituary of Wilcher "Johnny" Gaster Goins

Wilcher “Johnny” Gaster Goins – 78, of Kernersville, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, June 25, 2021.

He was one of twelve children of the late Jessie and Lillian (Pike) Goins born April 24, 1943, in Surry County, NC.

Johnny enjoyed gardening, carpentry, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.   He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Kernersville where he served as an Usher.   Johnny worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company until his retirement in 1999.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Carol Goins; children, Nickie Goins (Joy) and Cindy Boyles (Greg); grandchildren, Nicholas Goins (Molly), Brianna Lambert (Syler), and step-grandchild, Hayley Stafford (Jerry); and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Jones, and Dorothy Shields.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 28^th at 11:00AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
