Obituary of Herman Robert "PeeWee" Gray, Sr.

Mr. Herman Robert “PeeWee” Gray, Sr.,76, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Sunday, August 8, 2021.

A native of Goldsboro, NC, Herman was the husband of the late Brenda Bull Gray and the son of the late Bert Nixon Gray and Thelma Rice Gray. Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Survivors include his three sons, Mark William Gray of Kernersville, NC, Herman R. “Robbie” Gray, Jr. and wife, Ginger of Walnut Cove, NC, and Michael Nelson Gray and wife, Michelle of Walnut Cove, NC; grandchildren, Brittney Gray, Wesley Gray, and Christian Gray; great grandchildren, Kody Gray, Iyla Grace Bolchalk, and Maya Lethco; and sister, Barbara Kirkman.

In addition to his wife and parents, Herman was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Gray; grandson, Brandon Gray; great grandson, Dakota Gray; and brothers, David Gray, and Tony Gray.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held 3:00PM Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
