Obituary of Jo Anne Brendle Hill

Jo Anne B. Hill, 86, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on August 21, 2021. Born in Kernersville, NC, Jo Anne moved to Central Florida in 1982. She was a long time member of Sedge Garden Methodist Church in Kernersville, NC, where Jo Anne enjoyed singing in the choir. She and her husband were volunteer paramedics in Kernersville before moving to Florida. She loved to travel and loved her family deeply.

Jo Anne is survived by her children, Debbie Bogardus and husband, Mike, Kelly Buckley and husband, John, Alex Hill and wife, Debbie, and Tim DeHart; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hill; brother, Bob Brendle and wife, Ann; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Fredrick Brendle and Edith Rae Whicker Brendle; husband, Harry W. Hill, Sr.; and son, Harry “Rusty” W. Hill, Jr.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 1:00PM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Justin Lowe and Rev. John Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00PM to 1:00PM Monday prior to the service at the church.
