Obituary of Carolyn Thomas

Greensboro, NC Ms. Carolyn Cochran Thomas, 62 of Greensboro, NC begin her journey to heaven suddenly October 22, 2009 after returning home from vacation with her daughter and grandson. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday October 25, 2009 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Monday October 26, 2009 at Palm Street Christian Church with the Reverend Robert Boyd officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park. Carolyn was born in Greensboro on January 24, 1947 the daughter of Clayton Harry and Mary Moore Cochran. She was a lifelong resident of Greensboro. Carolyn enjoyed gardening and traveling with her family, She will be remembered as having a great love for animals. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and most of all a loving friend. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Van Dale Thomas, brother Clayton Harry Cochran, Jr., her beloved pets Saffy Thomas and Greta Thomas. Surviving are her daughter Diana Lea Thomas; grandson Matthew Bryce Breshears 'Wookie'; two sisters, Alice Faye Drake and Margie Shephard; five nieces Debra Fitzgerald-Smith, Renee Quate, Laura Ray, Tiffany Cochran Jackson and Natalie Covey; two nephews Bobby Willard Jr. and Clayton Robner Cochran and life long friends Patricia Anne Smith and Helen Jane Smith-Peele.
