Obituary of Calvin Welborn

-- View a Video -- Mike Welborn Greensboro, NC Mr. Calvin 'Mike' Welborn, 59 of Greensboro passed away Saturday October 10, 209 at his residence. Mike was born in Guilford County on November 14, 1949 the son of the late Otis Calvin Welborn and Dora Athleen Pinnix Welborn. He was employed as an electrician and was of Baptist faith. Mike enjoyed his family and fishing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter Kristal Gail Welborn. Surviving in addition to his mother Dora is his wife Linda Fay McNeal Welborn of the home; one son Jason Welborn and wife Melissa of Brown Summit; a daughter Tammy Bunton and husband Shannon of Greensboro; three sisters Kay Parrish (Mike) of Greensboro, Margie Phillips (Lanny) of Jackson Springs and Donna Welborn of Greensboro; two brothers Ricky Welborn (Susan) of Elon College and Stewart Welborn (Pam); five grandchildren, Storm, Harley and Brooke Bunton and Bryson and Savanah Welborn; his faithful companion 'Sam'. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Martin Avenue Baptist Church by Dr. James Talbert. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
