Obituary of Frances Chrismon

Ms Frances Carolyn Chrismon, 84, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Beacon Place, Greensboro, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, at Friendship United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Cayce Stapp and Reverend Rick Labaube officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Frances was born October 9, 1924, in Guilford County, to the late David and Vallie Lambeth Chrismon. She retired from Saslows Jewelry, Greensboro. She was a life long member of Friendship United Methodist Church, a dedicated choir member, and active in United Methodist Women. She also enjoyed singing as a member of the Chrismon family quartet. Ms Chrismon is survived by her sisters, Pauline Holt (Cutler), of Greensboro, Eleanor Fleming (Jack, deceased), of McLeansville; brothers, Elmo Chrismon (Blanche, deceased), Thomas I. Chrismon (Pauline), Dwight M. Chrismon (Mary Sue), all of Brown Summit; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Sunday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service.
