Obituary of Violet Busey

Mrs. Violet Nycum Busey, 76 of Brown Summit passed away Friday September 4, 2009 at her residence. Violet was born in Altoona, Pa on April 11, 1933 the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Ann Wynesickle Nycum. She was retired from Jay's Deli in Friendly Shopping Center where she worked for over 20 years. She enjoyed cooking for all family get togethers, spending time with her children and her beloved grandson Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel W. Busey who she met in Elkton. Maryland and became the love of her life. Also preceding her were three brothers Paul, James and William and four sisters Kathryn, Helen, Florence and Patsy. Surviving are one son Mark Busey (Kim) of Southmont; a daughter Teresa Ames (Joe) of Brown Summit; a grandson Daniel Busey of Southmont ; a bother in law Charles Busey (Ruth) of Maryland and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral and Cremation Service.
