Obituary of Madeline Gordon

Mrs. Madeline Gordon, 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Carolina Commons in Greensboro. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, at Lake Brandt Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Gordon was born April 30, 1918, in Davidson County, N.C., to the late George and Zella Ridenhour. She was employed at Cone Mills and loved her church and Pastor. Mrs. Gordon had a sparkling personality and was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Survivors include her children, Mae Craddock and husband, Billy, Kathy Smith and husband, Dewey, Barbara Durante, Brian Lenning and wife, Natsume, Richard Lenning; sisters, Wilma Weaver and Irene Koontz; 13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. tonight, Friday, at Lake Brandt Baptist Church.
