Obituary of James Hefner

James 'Jim' Hefner, age 67 went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday March 3, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday March 7, 2009 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Dr. Randy Pearman and Dr. K. Scott Heffner officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Hefner was born January 19, 1942 in Guilford County, NC to Albert and Hattie Brown Hefner. Jimmy was a noble and caring man who never met a stranger; he loved fishing and NASCAR and was of the Baptist faith. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, friend and proud veteran of the United States Army. He will be dearly missed In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a brother William Allgood. Survivors include his loving wife and constant companion of 46 years Wanda P. Hefner, a brother Charles Heffner and wife Connie, Mother in law Ruby S. Pearman, sister and brother in law Tanya and Byron Kennedy; three nieces, one nephew, two great nieces , five great nephews and special friends; James, Cathy and Cole Lee The family will be receiving friends and family Friday evening from 6:00 pm ' 8:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler. Lambeth-Troxler Funeral and Cremation Service proudly assist the Hefner family.
