Obituary of Emma Parker

Mrs. Emma Lee Lunsford Parker, 76, of Greensboro, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 27, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel by Emma's son-in-law, Dr. Tim Anderson. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park. Emma was born in Wilkes County, on March 15, 1932, the daughter of Edward and Lula Roberts Lunsford. She was a homemaker who loved baking, cooking and gardening. Emma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Wilkes County, N.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Lunsford. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Ronnie Parker of the home; a daughter, Eveline Anderson (Tim) of McLeansville; two sons, Ken (Amy) Parker of Summerfield and John Parker of Greensboro; eight brothers, Guy, Greel, Rayford, Graham, Raymond, Roy, Sonny and Clarence Lunsford; five sisters, Myrtle Kirkman, Lillie Carty, Annie Mae Rich, Linda Norris and Barbara Rush; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 222 S.
