Obituary of Frances Tucker

RANDLEMAN 'Mrs. Frances L. Tucker, 88, of Randleman, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with the Reverends Keith Lindsay, W. Ray Thomas, Don Hurlburt and Lynn Long officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Tucker was born August 9, 1920, in Randolph County, to the late Aaron and Florence Cox. She was a Missionary to Mali, West Africa with the Christian and Missionary Alliance from 1947 to 1959. When she came home she met and married her husband of over 47 years, Reverend J. Worth Tucker, July 23, 1961. Frances was a loving and caring wife. She never met a stranger. She loved to travel with her husband in the summer where they went to Camp Meeting at Mahaffey, Pennsylvania. She worked with her husband who pastored churches in Western Pennsylvania for a number of years. She will be missed by her husband, family, and all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband, Rev. J. Worth Tucker and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, 416 Vision Drive, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
