Jackson Lee Way Jackson Lee Way, 88, died October 28, 2012, at The Hospice Home at High Point. Jack was born in Randolph County on December 17, 1923 to Carl Worth and Leta Mae Albright Way. He had 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Jack was an Army-Air Force veteran in WW II. On January 8, 1948, Jack was married to Hazel Garner. They were married for 64 years. Jack worked for the Greensboro Public Schools for 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren and was a loyal friend and neighbor to those who knew him. Jack was an avid fisherman and hunter, who loved the outdoors and had a deep respect for nature. The funeral service will be 11:00 am at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Wednesday October 31, 2012 with the Pastor Jerry Strader officiating. The interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Winford Lee Way; a sister, Eugenia and 2 brothers, Jerry Way and C. W. Way, Jr. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Garner Way; a daughter, Denese (Kent) Byrd; two grandchildren, Christina (Patrick) Scheper of Durham and their daughter, Emily Claire; Greg (Kellie) Smith of Raleigh; three step-grandchildren, Mary Katherine (Nick) Baker of Charlotte, Caroline Byrd of Raleigh, Allison Byrd of High Point; a sister, Mary Garner; and two brothers, Joseph B. Way, and James Norman Way. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home at High Point, 1803 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
