Obituary of Howard I. Swink

Brown Summit, NC Howard I. Swink, age 99, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph Kim officiating. Interment with Graveside Masonic Rites by Revolution Lodge #552 AF & AM and full military honors will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Howard was born in Guilford County on August 24, 1918 to the late Andrew J. Swink and Viola Spivey Swink. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. Following his service, he was employed with the Greensboro Board Of Education and retired as the warehouse manager in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion #386, Revolution Lodge #552 AF & AM and Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church where he was the first Scout Master for Troop #334. Surviving are his sons, Richard Lee Swink and wife Sandra Hicks Swink, Robert Howard Swink and wife Cheryle Henry Swink, grandchildren, Jessica Swink Pierce and husband Brad Pierce, Shannon Swink Baker and husband Dane Baker, Robert Howard Swink, Jr.and wife Cara Rice Swink, Christopher Scott Swink and wife Lisa Brown Swink, Erin Swink Dzielecki and husband Kevin Dzielecki, great grandchildren, Joshua Shumate, William Swink, Hadley Swink, Anna Dzielecki, Abigail Swink, Kate Dzielecki, Jack Dzielecki.
