Obituary of Kassandra Mier

Kassandra "Kassie" Lee Mier, 52, a resident of Greensboro, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017. She was the wife of Frederick Mier and the daughter of Stuart Weinstein and Glenn and Barbara Goy (Johnson). Kassie was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and former employee of the United States Attorney's Office. She enjoyed cryptography, roses, and the beach. Kassie was very spirited, giving, and passionate; especially toward her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Goy; father, Stuart Weinstein; and brother, Louis Weinstein. Survivors include her husband, Frederick Mier; children, Jessica Spears and Scott Mier; grandson, Oliver Spears; siblings, Ronald "Lee" Weinstein, Kristine Benson, April Goy-Gluski, Patricia "Patty" O'Brien, and Terriann "Terri" Whiting; and many other family and friends. Services will be held at Lambeth Troxler Funeral & Cremation Service on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11am with visitation to be held after. Military Honors will be held next week in Jacksonville, FL.
