Obituary of Marlin H. Freedman
Marlin H. Freedman, 88, of Greensboro, died Thursday May 2, 2013 at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday at the Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi Eliezer Havivi officiating.
Marlin was born in Harrisburg, PA on February 1, 1925, to Sam Freedman and Lillian Singer Freedman. He was the former president of Southern Waste Paper Company, a Marine veteran of WWII, a Mason, and a member of Beth David Synagogue. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Kaplan.
Surviving is wife Shirley of the home; son, Stephen Freedman and wife Pamela of Chapel Hill; sister, Dede Woolf and husband Mervin of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Seth Freedman of Brooklyn, NY, Jyllian Freedman of Raleigh, and Sutton Freedman of Atlanta, GA.
