Obituary of Johnnie Moore

Kernersville-Johnnie Lewis Moore, 83, went home to be with his Lord February 4, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 1:00PM Wednesday February 8, 2012 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Janet Dixon officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A native of Forsyth County, Johnnie was the son of the late Emma Lewis and Charles F. Moore. He retired in 1983 from RJ Reynolds Corporation. He was a member of Cherry Street United Methodist Church and in his younger years he was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by brothers CF Moore, Jack Moore, and sister Edith Potter. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years Constance Angel Moore of the home; daughter Denise Moore; sons Phillip and Jeffrey Moore; grandchildren Michael Moore, Ashley Grissom, Kortney Gunther, Ryan Moore, and Davis Moore; great-grandchildren Nick, Grace, Amanda, and John; one great-great-granddaughter Abby; and sisters Nancy McDaniel and Stella Atwood.
