Obituary of Marklin McGuire

Walkertown-Marklin Ray McGuire, Sr., 57, died unexpectedly January 20, 2012 at his home. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 12:30PM Wednesday January 25, 2012 at the Chapel of Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Walkertown. A native of Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Jenell Ruby McCain and James Robert McGuire. Ray truly loved life, his family, and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Ray also was preceded in death by a sister Louise Tyron. Survivors include his sons Marklin Ray McGuire, Jr. and Michael McGuire; sisters Rita Lawson and Jr. Lawson of Walkertown, and Diann Lankford of Winston-Salem; brothers Richard McGuire and Allen McGuire; and several nieces and nephews. The family will visit with friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
