Obituary of Robert Mulligan

Kernersville-Robert John Mulligan, 75, passed away January 11, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Paul Dechant, O.S.F.S. officiating. Inurnment services will be held 11:00AM Saturday February 4, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Newton, New Jersey. A native of Newton, NJ, "Bob" was the son of the late Frances Trigalet and Joseph Allen Mulligan. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brother Allen Joseph Mulligan, Sr. and his nephew Allen Joseph Mulligan, Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years Ellen Mulligan of the home; children Cheryl Flood and Jerry, and Michael Mulligan and Vicki all of Wantage, NJ; step-daughters Brenda Kretzmer and Mark of Buddlake, NJ, Ruth Steelman and Jim of Newton, NJ, and Pamela Loftis and Jim of Marion, NC; step-sons Andrew Pilkington, Joseph Pilkington, and Michael Pilkington and Ingrid all of Newton, NJ; grandchildren Jay, Thomas, Branden, Corey, and Brittany; step-grandchildren Matthew, Adrienne, Cati, Kevin, Alex, and Jimmy; great-granddaughters Ryleigh and Cherish; nieces and nephews Patricia Neyhart and Joseph, Kelly Rossi and Eric, Megan Mulligan, and Sean Mulligan. The family will visit with friends in Salesian Hall immediately following the service at the church on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.
