Obituary of Jean Shaver

Biography Colfax-Molly Jean Dameron Shaver, 75, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday September 14, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Saturday September 17, 2011 at Colfax Baptist Church with Pastor Judd Dixon, and Dr. Pete Kunkle officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro. A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Sallie Elizabeth Alley and Rural Solomon Dameron. She was retired from the Sears Catalog Center in Greensboro. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Debra Shaver, sister Irene Felts, and brothers Bill Dameron, Glenn Dameron, and Robert Dameron. Survivors include her husband of 59 years Glyde Eugene Shaver of the home; daughter Darlene Dillon and Danny of Colfax; son Doug Shaver and wife Lee of Dacula, Georgia; sister Margie Johnson and Larry of King; brothers Kenneth Dameron and Melba of Clemmons, Bueal Dameron and Thelma of High Point, and Ivan Dameron and Ruth of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren Steven Dillon and Ashley, Nicole Pilkenton and Chris, Dustin Shaver, Dayne Shaver, and Stevi Dickson; great-grandchildren Carly Dillon, Mason Doss, Gage Dillon, and Connor Pilkenton. The family will visit with friends Friday evening September 16, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville.
