Obituary of Douglas Mazingo

Biography Kernersville-Douglas Lynn Mazingo, 56, died August 24, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 4:00PM Monday August 29, 2011 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Fayetteville, NC, he was the son of Beryle Lynn Mazingo and the late Gaynell Elizabeth Pope Mazingo. An asphalt foreman for many years, and last worked with Superior Paving Company. He loved fishing and motorcycles. In addition to his mother, he also was preceded in death by his brother Harold G. Pope, and a grandson Matthew Allen Bridgeman. Survivors include his loving wife Lorie Ann Perryman Mazingo of the home; daughters Debra Lynn Myers and Gary of Advance, Elizabeth Ann Wright and Sam of Savannah, Georgia, Stacy Lynn Mazingo and Bill of Boonville, and Laura Renee Shadrick and Levi of Mocksville; sons Michael Ray Mazingo and Christa of Autryville, Keith Randall Holder of Kernersville, and Christopher Lynn Mazingo of Kernersville; father Beryle Lynn Mazingo of Fayetteville; sister Tricia Ann Pulliam and Jimmy of Cary; brother Douglas Wayne Pope and Kathy of Efland; 16 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, long time friend Rochelle Allred, and extended family.
