Obituary of Nettie Stoddard

Biography Kernersville-Nettie M. Stoddard, 84, passed away Friday August 12, 2011 at the Hospice Home at High Point. Graveside Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Sunday August 14, 2011 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina. A native of Easley, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ola Mae Crawford and Richard Calhoun McCue. She was a member of Hiatt Memorial United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. She was married to the late Thomas Vernon Stoddard. She had resided at Robinwood for a number of years before her health declined and she moved to High Point Place in High Point. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amanda Box, son-in-law Delane Box, and a host of sisters and brothers. Survivors include her daughters Cheryl Stoddard Mathews and Carter "Tom" of Kernersville, and Janice White and Allen of Huntersville; sister Florence McCollum and Edwin of Easley, SC; grandchildren Richard Vernon Stoddard and Lori, Shannon Stoddard Calleia and Greg, Brooke Box, Thomas Mathews, and Toby Mathews and Jessica; five great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Jay Stoddard of California.
