Obituary of Juliana Stockton

Biography Kernersville-Juliana "Judy" W. Woolen Stockton, born September 28, 1919 died July 27, 2011 at her home in Louisville, Tennessee. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 5:00PM Thursday August 18, 2011 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A native of Romania, she came to the United States by way of Ellis Island, New York. Her mother died on the ship as they came to the United States. She was adopted by the late Dr. and Mrs. Lon Weldon. She attended many schools throughout the US, and her parents lived in Ft. Stanton, New Mexico. After finishing school, she moved to High Point, NC and later to Kernersville, NC. She operated a beauty shop in Kernersville from the early 1950's until 1964 when she and her husband Paul Stockton moved to Louisville, Tennessee. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her son Eddie Woolen who died in 1964. Survivors include her husband Paul Stockton of Louisville, Tennessee; daughter Susan Kasemyer of Lenoircity, Tennessee; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews in the Kernersville area.
