Obituary of Brent Bauguess

Kernersville-Brent Bauguess, 71, went home to be with his Lord June 24, 2011 following a brief illness. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Wednesday June 29, 2011 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Garland Glascoe officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Catawba County, Brent was the son of the late Ethel Bonnie Brooks and Carl Thomas Bauguess. He had served with the North Carolina National Guard. Brent was a fire chief for the Town of Maiden and the Town of Kernersville. He later worked for Coldwell Banker Realty and Pony Express Couriers both in Winston-Salem. He was a member of Kernersville Full Gospel Mission Church for 16 years. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a sister Marlyn Klutz, and brothers Carl T. Bauguess, Jr., Gene Bauguess, Howard Bauguess, and Roy Bauguess. Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years Linda Glascoe of the home; daughters Yvette Bumgarner and Ralph of Maiden, and Cindy Beasley of Conover; son Chris Bauguess and Amber of Winston-Salem; sister Glenna White of Havelock; grandchildren Justin Bauguess, Sasha Bauguess, Brittany Bumgarner, Weston Bauguess, Brian Bumgarner, and Zachary Christenbury. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home, or other times at his mother-in-laws residence 2210 Lot #9 Valleydale Drive in Kernersville.
