Obituary of Ollie Stanfield

Biography Kernersville-Ollie Linville Stanfield, 86, died June 3, 2011 following a brief illness. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00AM Monday at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Clark, Kentucky, Ollie was the son of the late Malvria Ann Bellamy and Ollie Morton Stanfield. He served his Country as a Seaman 1st Class with the US Navy during WWII. Ollie was able to take his "Flight of Honor" May 18 of this year. He was married to the late Anna Pearl Huff Stanfield who died in February of 2010. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his son Larry Wayne Stanfield. He was a member of Kerwin Baptist Church. Survivors include his son Kenneth Darrell Stanfield, Sr. and Tammy of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Kenneth Darrell Stanfield, Jr. and Emily, Ashley Reynolds and Robert, Amanda Dudley and Justin, Lori Ethridge and David, Larry Wayne Stanfield, Jr. and Lynn, and Angie Bunn and Derrick; and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 4-6PM Sunday at the funeral home.
