Biography
Kernersville-Theron "Ted" Lamar Pitt, 66, went home to be with his Lord May 7, 2011.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Monday May 9, 2011 at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church in Colfax with Pastor Sam White and Rev. Phil Kirkman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Decatur, Alabama, he was the son of the late Zella Emily Borden and Robert Aaron Pitt. He served his country with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Shady Grove Wesleyan Church. He was retired from Central Carolina Trucks of Kernersville.
Survivors include his loving wife Sharon Ingram Pitt of the home; daughter Mavis Pitt McGee and Stephen of Oak Ridge; grandchildren Chase and Brayden McGee; sisters Janice Dudzinski and Bill of Tennessee, Patsy Nash and Sonny and Sharon Osborn and John all of Alabama; brother Gary Pitt and Sharyn of Texas.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8PM Sunday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
