Obituary of Thomas Paul

Kernersville-Thomas S. Paul, 73, was called home to be with Jesus May 4, 2011. A Celebration of Life service will be held 5:00PM Friday May 6, 2011 at Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randall Edwards and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Margaret Alcorn Paul and William J. Paul. Tom served his country with the US Navy. He was retired from Nabisco Company, where he was in food service sales. His passion for youth was shown through his volunteering with his church, Young Life, and Forsyth County Schools. He was honored as Forsyth County Schools Volunteer of the Year. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years Barbara Paul of the home; daughters Kim Baum and Wynn of Kernersville, and Lyn Smith and Bill of Charlotte; grandchildren Caroline Miles and Luke, Meredith Baum, Paige Baum, Emily Smith, and Caleb Smith; sister Joan Schultz of Warminster, PA; and brother Bill Paul of Troy, NH. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Friday.
