Obituary of Jack Moore

Biography Kernersville-Jack R. Moore, Sr., 81, passed away April 11, 2011 at his home following an extended illness. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at Noon on Thursday April 14, 2011 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Pastor Patricia Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Guilford County, Jack was the son of the late Mary Magdaline George and William Frank Moore. He was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. He had retired following 32 years of service with Kayser-Roth. Jack thoroughly enjoyed life, cars, fishing, hunting, and especially his family. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his sister Leigh Casey, and brothers William Frank Moore, Jr. and James Moore. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Mary Catherine Moore of the home; daughter Linda Ilderton and Tim of High Point; sons Jack R. Moore, Jr. and Patty, and Rodney Moore and Christine all of Kernersville; sisters Frances Linville of Kernersville and Joanne Gordon of Greensboro; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Thursday.
